Campground · USDA Forest Service · Pike-San Isabel National Forests Fees: $24.00 fee per site for overnight tent camping. Two (2) vehicles per site are included in the camping fee. $11.00 for a third vehicle. $11.00 day use fee if not camping overnight. Fees are payable by cash, check or money order. Season: Early May to Late September Reservations: This campsite is strictly a first-come, first-served basis. Overview This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Facilities Located southwest of Denver at an elevation of 7,500 feet, Green Mountain Campground offers a wonderful opportunity for individuals or families to enjoy the great outdoors. South Fork Buffalo Creek runs through the campground and there are numerous nonmotorized, multi-use trails nearby. Green Mountain Campground is far enough away from town, but still… Rules: The following restrictions apply to this campground : - Maximum 8 persons per site, 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle. - Dogs must be leashed at all times. - No discharge of firearms or fireworks. - Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. - Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.
