Opatcho Lake Recreation Site

Free or paid (not confirmed)

This site may be free, but we couldn't confirm it. Check the official page before you go. Campground · Recreation Sites and Trails BC This site is tucked in approximately 3km from the Willow-Cale FSR and offers a slightly more remote experience than the other sites along this road. All camp sites are in close proximity to Opatcho Lake, and the site offers the basic amenities of a pit toilet, tables, and fire rings. The lake is stocked annually with Blackwater and Horsefly strain rainbow trout, and the lake is known to periodically produce some fairly large fish for lucky anglers (5 lbs plus). Getting there: Travel 17kms south of Prince George. Turn left on to the Willow Cale FSR (112.5km) and turn right at the T-Junction (121km). At 140.5km turn left on to the Opatcho lake road and drive in ~2.5kms. Turn on to the small access road, slightly to your left, which will lead in to the site.
