This site may be free, but we couldn't confirm it. Check the official page before you go. Campground · Recreation Sites and Trails BC A 3-unit, open campground at the western end of Francois Lake on the southern shoreline. This site is popular for boating, swimming and fishing. The access road is narrow, brushy and can be rough so may be prohibitive for RV's/trailers. There is gravel/sand beach access and a gravel boat launch here. There are several species of fish in Francois Lake for anglers. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf Getting there: From Hwy 16 in Burns Lake, take Hwy 35 south and turn west onto Colleymount Rd. From Northbank ferry terminal, head west ~55 km along Colleymount Road, take a left at the Colleymount/Owen East Rd junction onto Oots-Nadina FSR. Follow Ootsa-Nadina FSR south for 4 km around west point of lake, turn left onto the access road to access the site.
