Campground · Recreation Sites and Trails BC Located near Smithers and east of Babine Mountains Provincial Park on the shores of Doris Lake sits this semi-open, forested, 4 unit campsite. The access road is a tight turn off Babine Lake road with a short and steep approach into the site as well as a challenging exit back onto Babine Lake Road, it isn't suitable for RV's/trailers. The site has a small boat launch and beach area which allows for swimming, boating and fishing. Cutthroat trout are the predominant species in the lake. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures:… Getting there: From highway 16, turn on Babine Lake Road, proceed past Chapman Lake turnoff (Upper Fulton FSR) and Tangelchain Lake, 49km up Babine Lake Road.
