Campground · USDA Forest Service · Modoc National Forest Fees: $15/single site per day with a maximum of two vehicles. Season: Facilities open as weather permits; usually early July to late October. Reservations: Reservations are not accepted. All sites are first come, first served. $15/night The Campground at Cave Lake is little used and the perfect place for a week-end or week long getaway. Getting there: From Lakeview, Oregon go south 14 miles on US Hwy 395 and into California to County Road 2. Turn east on County Road 2 and continue for 7 miles to the campground. From Alturas travel north on US Hwy 395 approximately 38 miles to County Road 2. Turn east on County Road 2 and continue for 7 miles to the campground. Rules: Dogs shall remain on leash within developed recreation areas. Please clean up after your dog. Trash collection is not provided; Take all trash, fish guts and dog waste with you..
